Trimfix High Temperature Adhesive Spray Glue 500ml

High Temperature Multi-Purpose Fan Nozzle

What is it for?

Bonding carpet, foam, faux leather and trim to metal and board in vehicle interiors - van and campervan lining, panels, headboards and furniture.

Why do I need a high-temperature adhesive?

Because a vehicle interior parked in summer sun reaches temperatures that ordinary spray adhesives let go at. The classic failure is a lining panel that lifts and bubbles after the first hot spell.

How do I use it?

Spray both surfaces evenly, let them tack off until touch-dry - usually a few minutes - then bring them together and bond from the centre outwards, working air out as you go. Contact adhesive grabs immediately, so position accurately first time.

How much do I need?

Coverage depends heavily on the surface - porous board and foam soak up considerably more than smooth metal. Budget generously: a partly-bonded panel that lifts later means stripping and redoing it, which costs far more than another can.

What safety precautions should I take?

Ventilate well, ideally with the vehicle doors open and a fan running, and wear a suitable mask - solvent vapour builds up quickly in a closed van. Keep away from ignition sources; these are flammable aerosols. Mask anything you do not want overspray on.

Are there shipping restrictions?

Aerosols are classified as dangerous goods for transport, which affects how they are shipped - they cannot go by air, and some carriers and destinations have restrictions. Delivery to UK mainland addresses is straightforward.
