Filtech Air Filter Reducing Rubber Rings

What are reducing rings for?
Adapting a filter neck down to a smaller intake pipe, so one filter fits a range of pipe diameters. It saves buying a different filter for each build and lets you reuse a filter if the intake pipework changes later.

What sizes do they cover?
A set of five rings covering 85mm down to 63mm, rated -40C to +120C. Check your intake pipe outside diameter and work down from the filter neck to find the ring you need.

How do I fit them?
Fit the ring into the filter neck, then slide the assembly onto your intake pipe and clamp with a worm drive clip - or a T-bolt on a boosted install. Make sure the ring is seated squarely so it cannot distort under the clamp.

Will they leak air?
Not if properly seated and clamped. Any unmetered air entering after the MAF sensor causes running problems, so it is worth checking the ring sits fully home and the clip is evenly tightened rather than nipped up at one point.

Do they fit any filter?
They are made for the Filtech range and fit filters with a compatible neck. If you have a filter from elsewhere, check the neck diameter against the ring sizes before ordering, or send us the measurement and we will confirm.

What temperature will they take?
-40C to +120C, which covers engine bay intake temperatures comfortably. If your filter sits close to the exhaust or turbo, fit a heat shield as well - hot intake air undoes much of what the filter gained you.
