Clear unreinforced PVC hose has excellent flexibility and transparency and is suitable for windscreen washer tubing. Its 4mm ID and fits land rovers incliding 1,2,2a and 3. The tubing has good abrasion and corrosion resistance, resistant to dilute acids and alkalis and features a smooth bore (seamless) for optimal flow rates. The clear wall makes it easier to view the liquid inside the tubes, which can help detect kinks and the incorrect transfer of liquids through certain lines.

How to measure ID

Measure the pipe, not the old hose

Heat and age make a used hose swell and go out of round. Take your reading across the metal outlet the hose slides onto — that measurement is your ID.

Use vernier calipers

Set the outer jaws across the widest point of the pipe. A tape measure round a curve reads low by a millimetre or two — enough to buy the wrong size.

Take three readings, keep the largest

Rotate 60° between each. If they disagree the pipe is oval; size to the biggest figure so the hose still seals.

Round to the nearest listed bore

Never go up: a bore wider than the fitting will not grip, whatever the hose is made of. If you land between listed sizes take the smaller bore, and secure it with a clip.

Order by ID, always. Every hose on this site is listed by internal diameter. OD is given for clearance only — it changes with wall thickness and ply count, so it is never the ordering size. On reducers, quote both ends, largest first.

What is it, and what does it fit?

A direct-fit replacement hose for this Land Rover. Check the model, engine and year range on this page against your vehicle before ordering.

How do I make sure it fits my car?

Match on model, engine and year or facelift, because hoses often change mid-generation. The most certain method is the OE part number on the part you are removing. If you cannot find one, send us photos of the old hose with a tape measure alongside, or your registration, and we will confirm.

Why replace the original?

Original rubber and plastic parts perish, harden and crack with age and heat cycling. Silicone does not perish and handles far higher temperatures, so on a part that is awkward to reach, fitting silicone once is considerably cheaper than doing the job twice.

Does it come with clips?

Some of our listings offer clips as an option at checkout - check the options on this page. Where they are not included, we stock stainless worm drive clips and T-bolt clamps in every matching size. Always renew clips with a hose: old ones lose tension and corrode where you cannot see.

Is it a straightforward fit?

It is a direct replacement for the original, so it goes back the way the old one came out. Take the opportunity to check the rest of the run while it is apart - a part that has aged out is rarely the only one, and doing them together saves repeating the access work.

What if my exact model is not listed?

We manufacture bespoke silicone hose to order and make one-off parts regularly. Send us the old part, a sketch with dimensions, or an OE number, plus what flows through it and the temperature it sees, and we will quote. Small quantities are welcome.
