Introducing our brand-new Heater Air Duct Pipes tailored specifically for windscreen outlets. These pipes are compatible with all Land Rover Defenders manufactured between 1983 and 2006, accommodating both right-hand drive and left-hand drive models.

It's important to note that these pipes are not suitable for Tdci models produced from 2007 to 2016.

Our motivation for creating these Heater Air Duct Pipes stemmed from the need to replace the original parts, which can deteriorate over time. While the original parts generally serve their purpose, we have taken it a step further by designing an upgraded version that not only outperforms the original item but also has the longevity to outlast the vehicle itself.

To achieve this, we've utilized high-temperature ducting material that has been meticulously coated in silicone. This not only enhances performance but also allows us to offer these pipes in a variety of colors for a personalized touch. How to measure ID

Measure the pipe, not the old hose

Heat and age make a used hose swell and go out of round. Take your reading across the metal outlet the hose slides onto — that measurement is your ID.

Use vernier calipers

Set the outer jaws across the widest point of the pipe. A tape measure round a curve reads low by a millimetre or two — enough to buy the wrong size.

Take three readings, keep the largest

Rotate 60° between each. If they disagree the pipe is oval; size to the biggest figure so the hose still seals.

Round to the nearest listed bore

Never go up: a bore wider than the fitting will not grip, whatever the hose is made of. If you land between listed sizes take the smaller bore, and secure it with a clip.

Order by ID, always. Every hose on this site is listed by internal diameter. OD is given for clearance only — it changes with wall thickness and ply count, so it is never the ordering size. On reducers, quote both ends, largest first.

What is it, and what does it fit?

A direct-fit replacement for the original heater demist ducting on this Land Rover. Check the model, engine and year range on this page against your vehicle before ordering.

How do I make sure it fits my car?

Match on model, engine and year or facelift, because hoses often change mid-generation. The most certain method is the OE part number on the part you are removing. If you cannot find one, send us photos of the old hose with a tape measure alongside, or your registration, and we will confirm.

Why replace the original?

Original rubber and plastic parts perish, harden and crack with age and heat cycling. Silicone does not perish and handles far higher temperatures, so on a part that is awkward to reach, fitting silicone once is considerably cheaper than doing the job twice.

What colours are available?

black, blue, red and grey. The colour is cosmetic - construction and rating are identical. If you are doing several hoses on the same vehicle, order them together so the shades match.

Does it come with clips?

Some of our listings offer clips as an option at checkout - check the options on this page. Where they are not included, we stock stainless worm drive clips and T-bolt clamps in every matching size. Always renew clips with a hose: old ones lose tension and corrode where you cannot see.

Is it a straightforward fit?

It is a direct replacement for the original, so it goes back the way the old one came out. Take the opportunity to check the rest of the run while it is apart - a part that has aged out is rarely the only one, and doing them together saves repeating the access work.
