Description

Worm drive hose clips consist of a band, or strap, that wraps around the hose and a screw-like mechanism that tightens the strap around the hose and fitting. As the screw is turned, it drives the strap inwards, creating a tight seal between the hose and fitting. This design allows for a high amount of clamping force, making it suitable for use in high-pressure applications.

For the vast majority of applications this sturdy worm drive hose clip is more than suitable, this product also has a band that is continuously threaded enabling extra flexibility when adjusting the clip to the correct size. The smooth inside profile of the band and rolled edges give protection for all types of hoses including soft hoses made from rubber or silicone.

Our stainless steel worm drive hose clamps are of high quality stainless steel, perfect for clamping silicone hoses and rubber hoses.

Worm drive hose clips, also known as worm gear hose clamps or worm drive hose clamps, are a type of hose clip that uses a screw-like design to tightly grip and secure a hose onto a fitting. These clips are commonly used in automotive and industrial applications, and are known for their ease of installation and ability to provide a strong, secure connection.

Worm drive hose clips are typically made from metal, such as stainless steel or galvanized steel, and are available in a range of sizes to fit different hose and fitting diameters. They are also available with different screw types, such as slotted or Phillips head, to accommodate different installation tools. Overall, worm drive hose clips are a popular and effective choice for securing hoses in automotive and industrial applications.

Available in both W1 - Zinc Plated and W4 - Stainless Steel

Hose jointing made easy

These clips can be tightened by slotted screw driver or small socket tool set which is most helpful as its not always possible to get a screwdriver firmly on the screwhead

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

How do I choose the right size of hose clip?

The right size of hose clip is determined by the diameter of the hose it will be securing. Measure the outside diameter of the hose and select a hose clip with an adjustable range that encompasses that measurement.

What materials are hose clips made of?

Our hose clips are made from W1 Zinc Plated or W4 Stainless Steel. The material choice depends on the application and the environmental conditions.

When you see "W1 Zinc Plated," it indicates that the item is made of W1 carbon tool steel and has been coated with a layer of zinc to enhance its resistance to corrosion.

W4 Stainless Steel, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and versatility, it's commonly used in a wide range of applications, including kitchen equipment, architectural elements, and industrial fittings.

Can hose clips be used for both flexible and rigid hoses?

Yes, hose clips are versatile and can be used for both flexible and rigid hoses, provided that the clip is appropriately sized for the diameter of the hose.

Do hose clips require special tools for installation?

In general, hose clips can be installed using common hand tools such as screwdrivers or socket wrenches. The specific tool required depends on the type of hose clip being used.
