Silicone 45° Fuel & Oil Elbow Hose is a high-performance solution for fuel, oil, and hydrocarbon transfer in automotive, marine, and industrial applications. Built with a smooth extruded flouro silicone compound inner lining, reinforced with strong polyester braids, and finished with a durable silicone outer layer, the hose provides excellent chemical resistance, flexibility, and long service life. Designed with a precise 45-degree bend and 150 mm legs, the elbow offers secure and efficient routing for angled connections in complex systems. Capable of continuous operation from -50°C to +250°C, this hose meets SAE J30 R6 standards, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of fuels and oils while maintaining stability under demanding conditions. Available in diameters from 6.5 mm up to 102 mm, the elbow hose delivers versatile performance for both light-duty and heavy-duty environments.

Key Features:

  • Inner Layer: Smooth extruded flouro silicone compound for resistance to fuels, oils, and vapours.

  • Reinforcement: Polyester braids providing strength and pressure resistance.

  • Outer Layer: High-quality silicone for durability and heat resistance.

  • Construction: 3–4 ply design with 150 mm leg length for secure connections.

  • Operating Temperature: -50°C to +250°C (peak +250°C).

  • Internal Diameter Range: 6.5 mm to 102 mm.

  • Working Pressure: 12.33 bar (small bore) down to 2.8 bar (large bore), size dependent.

  • Bursting Pressure: Up to 37 bar (typically 3x working pressure).

  • Bend Angle: 45° with 150 mm leg length per side.

  • Standard: SAE J30 R6 compliant.

The flouro silicone lining ensures excellent compatibility with fuels, oils, and hydrocarbon vapours, making it ideal where standard silicone may degrade. Polyester reinforcement maintains pressure integrity while supporting flexibility for easy installation. The silicone outer layer provides resistance to heat, ozone, and long-term environmental exposure, ensuring durability under continuous use. With its 45° angled design, this hose facilitates smooth routing in restricted or angled systems, reducing the need for additional fittings. The multi-ply structure provides robust mechanical strength, while working pressures from 12.33 bar to 2.8 bar and burst ratings up to 37 bar offer a strong margin of safety. This balance of flexibility, strength, and chemical resistance ensures reliable long-term service across a wide range of installations.

Typical applications include automotive fuel and oil connections, marine fuel lines, turbo oil returns, motorsport fuel and breather systems, and industrial hydrocarbon handling. The hose is also suited to agricultural machinery, heavy-duty maintenance, and custom engineering projects requiring durable angled connections. Keywords: silicone 45-degree elbow hose, fuel and oil silicone bend, flouro silicone reinforced elbow, high-temperature elbow hose, SAE J30 R6 silicone elbow, hydrocarbon transfer hose.

How to measure ID

ID OD wall reinforcement plies ID = bore · OD = ID + (2 × wall)
1
Measure the pipe, not the old hose
Heat and age make a used hose swell and go out of round. Take your reading across the metal outlet the hose slides onto — that measurement is your ID.
2
Use vernier calipers
Set the outer jaws across the widest point of the pipe. A tape measure round a curve reads low by a millimetre or two — enough to buy the wrong size.
3
Take three readings, keep the largest
Rotate 60° between each. If they disagree the pipe is oval; size to the biggest figure so the hose still seals.
4
Round to the nearest listed bore
Silicone stretches slightly. If you land between sizes, go down to the smaller bore for a tight seal — never up.
Order by ID, always. Every hose on this site is listed by internal diameter. OD is given for clearance only — it changes with wall thickness and ply count, so it is never the ordering size. On reducers, quote both ends, largest first.

What size do I order?

Order by internal diameter, matched to the outside diameter of the metal pipe or stub the elbow slides onto. Measure the pipe itself with vernier callipers, not the hose you are replacing - hose stretches in service and reads a size large. Available in internal diameters from 6mm to 102mm, in black.

How long are the legs?

150mm on each side, giving 300mm total length. That leaves plenty of material to trim back to the length you need. If you cut them down, leave at least 25-30mm of straight leg beyond the bend so the clip seats on a supported section - never let a clip end up sitting on the curve, because it will not seal evenly there.

What temperature and pressure will it take?

Continuous service from -60C to +180C, built to SAE J30 R6. Working pressure runs from 12.33 bar on the smallest bore down to 2.8 bar on the largest, with burst pressure from 37 bar down to 8.5 bar across the 6.5mm to 102mm range. For context, a car cooling system typically runs at 1 to 1.5 bar and well under 120C, so there is a substantial margin.

How is it constructed, and how many plies?

A fluorosilicone inner lining for hydrocarbon resistance, polyester braid reinforcement, and a durable silicone outer layer that resists heat, ozone and abrasion. Smaller bores are 3 ply and larger bores step up to 4 ply - each size is built with the reinforcement it needs, so you do not have to specify it. Wall thickness runs from 4.5mm to 5.5mm depending on bore.

Is it compatible with E5 and E10 petrol?

Yes - the fluorosilicone liner handles modern ethanol-blended petrol, diesel, oils and fuel vapour. That matters because ethanol attacks unsuitable hose from the inside, so an older line can look perfect externally while degrading internally and shedding material into the fuel system.

What is the bend radius?

Bend radius runs from 16mm on the smallest bore to 70mm on the largest. That is the radius the elbow is moulded to, so the bore stays fully round through the bend and flow is not restricted - which is exactly why a moulded elbow beats bending a straight hose round the same corner.
