Suck and blow. The machine works two ways. On suction it draws wet leaves, moss, mud and silt down through the 51mm poles into the drum. Move the hose across to the blow outlet and the motor delivers a stream of air that shifts dry leaves, loose moss and dust out of corners and valley junctions a nozzle cannot reach, or loosens dry material so it can be collected on suction afterwards. Blow mode is equally useful in the workshop or garage for clearing floors and drying down panels.
