Fluorosilicone Coupling Hose is a reinforced straight connector designed for high-performance applications where resistance to fuels, oils, and hydrocarbon vapours is essential. Constructed with a fluorosilicone inner lining, polyester braid reinforcement, and a durable silicone outer layer, this coupling hose provides excellent chemical resistance combined with strength and flexibility. Built to SAE J20 R6 standards, it operates across a wide temperature range of -50°C to +250°C, making it suitable for both high-heat and chemically aggressive environments. Supplied in various lengths and available in diameters from 6 mm to 63 mm, fluorosilicone couplings deliver reliable long-term performance in both automotive and industrial systems.

Key Features:

  • Inner Layer: Fluorosilicone compound for resistance to fuels, oils, and hydrocarbon vapours.

  • Reinforcement: Polyester braid for pressure stability and durability.

  • Outer Layer: High-grade silicone for thermal, ozone, and abrasion resistance.

  • Construction: 3–4 ply reinforced wall with smooth bore for efficient flow.

  • Operating Temperature: -50°C to +250°C (peak +250°C).

  • Internal Diameter Range: 6 mm to 63 mm.

  • Working Pressure: From 10 bar (small bore) down to 4 bar (large bore).

  • Bursting Pressure: Typically 3x working pressure (up to 30 bar).

  • Length Supplied: Various lengths depending on specification.

  • Standard: SAE J20 R6 compliant.

The fluorosilicone inner lining provides superior chemical compatibility compared to standard silicone, ensuring reliable service in systems exposed to fuels, oils, and aggressive vapours. Polyester braid reinforcement stabilises the hose under working pressure, while the thick multi-ply wall delivers long service life under vibration and thermal cycling. With burst ratings up to three times the working limit, the hose offers a robust safety margin across multiple industries. The smooth bore construction ensures efficient fluid or air transfer with minimal turbulence, while the outer silicone layer enhances protection against abrasion and environmental wear.

Applications include automotive fuel and oil systems, turbocharger and intercooler connections, marine fuel transfer lines, industrial lubrication and hydrocarbon handling, and agricultural machinery. Fluorosilicone coupling hoses are widely used in motorsport, heavy-duty maintenance, and custom fabrication projects where both chemical resistance and heat tolerance are critical.

How to measure ID

ID OD wall reinforcement plies ID = bore · OD = ID + (2 × wall)
1
Measure the pipe, not the old hose
Heat and age make a used hose swell and go out of round. Take your reading across the metal outlet the hose slides onto — that measurement is your ID.
2
Use vernier calipers
Set the outer jaws across the widest point of the pipe. A tape measure round a curve reads low by a millimetre or two — enough to buy the wrong size.
3
Take three readings, keep the largest
Rotate 60° between each. If they disagree the pipe is oval; size to the biggest figure so the hose still seals.
4
Round to the nearest listed bore
Silicone stretches slightly. If you land between sizes, go down to the smaller bore for a tight seal — never up.
Order by ID, always. Every hose on this site is listed by internal diameter. OD is given for clearance only — it changes with wall thickness and ply count, so it is never the ordering size. On reducers, quote both ends, largest first.

Silicone Fluoro Coupler Hose

✅ -60°C to +180°C ✅ E5/E10 ✅ Fluorolined

What is it used for?

It joins two pipe stubs of the same diameter - metal pipework, an air filter to an intake, or a hard pipe to a component. Being silicone rather than a rigid joint, it also absorbs a little vibration and tolerates minor misalignment.

What size do I order?

Order by internal diameter, matched to the outside diameter of the pipe stubs it joins. Measure the pipe with vernier callipers, not the old hose. Available in internal diameters from 6mm to 63mm, lengths from 50mm to 950mm.

How much pipe should be inside it?

At least 25mm engaged at each end on smaller bores and proportionally more on larger ones, with the clip sitting squarely over the supported section rather than near the open end. That is why 50mm is the practical minimum length for a straightforward join.

What is it rated for?

Built to SAE J30 R6 with polyester braid reinforcement. Smaller bores are 3 ply and larger bores step up to 4 ply - each size is built with the reinforcement it needs, so you do not have to specify it. Working pressure runs from 8.3 bar on the smallest bore down to 4 bar on the largest, with burst pressure from 27 bar down to 12 bar across the 13mm to 63mm range.

Is it fuel and oil compatible?

Yes - the fluorosilicone inner lining handles petrol, diesel, oils and fuel vapour including E5 and E10 pump fuel. Use it for fuel lines, oil cooler runs, breathers and catch-can plumbing, where standard silicone would swell and fail.

Can it join two different sized pipes?

No - stretching it over an oversized stub gives an uneven seal and a joint that creeps loose. Use a reducer, which is moulded with a proper tapered transition. We stock straight reducers in 61 size pairings from 12mm to 8mm up to 127mm to 102mm.
