What connectors and couplers do you stock?
Standard silicone coupling hose from 13mm to 152mm in 20 lengths, fluorolined couplers for fuel and oil from 6mm to 63mm, hump connectors from 25mm to 102mm, T-piece three-way connectors from 25mm to 102mm, and off-cut mixed boxes in both standard and fluorosilicone.

What is the difference between a coupler and a hump connector?
A plain coupler is a straight connector for joining two aligned pipe stubs. A hump connector has a raised section in the middle that absorbs vibration and takes up slight misalignment without passing that movement into the rest of the pipework - use one wherever an engine moves relative to a fixed pipe.

When do I need the fluorolined coupler?
Any time fuel, oil or fuel vapour touches the inside - fuel lines, oil cooler runs, breathers and catch-can plumbing. Standard silicone swells and breaks down in contact with hydrocarbons. For coolant, water and clean air, the standard coupler is cheaper and does the job perfectly.

How long a coupler should I buy?
Long enough that at least 25mm of pipe is engaged at each end on smaller bores, more on larger ones, with the clip sitting over the supported section. That makes 50mm the practical minimum. A 75mm or 100mm coupler gives a more secure joint and more tolerance if you have the room.

What is a T-piece for?
Creating a three-way branch - a heater feed off a coolant line, a breather or bypass takeoff, or splitting an air feed. Ours are reinforced silicone with a 25mm spout in main bores from 25mm to 102mm. Being silicone rather than metal, it also absorbs a little vibration.

Can a coupler join two different sized pipes?
No - stretching a coupler over an oversized stub gives an uneven seal and a joint that creeps loose. Use a reducer, which is moulded with a proper tapered transition. We stock straight reducers in 61 size pairings from 12mm to 8mm up to 127mm to 102mm.
