AN6 PTFE lined stainless steel braided hose in bare stainless and black nylon covered finishes; rubber stainless steel overbraid hose to SAE J30 R6 in 6mm, 8mm, 10mm and 13mm; and rubber cotton braided fuel hose to DIN 73379 Type B in 3mm to 12mm.

It has a PTFE inner tube inside the braid, which is chemically inert and essentially impermeable. That makes it the choice for E85 and methanol, for high-pressure fuel injection systems, and anywhere fuel smell through the hose wall is a problem. It is stiffer than rubber-lined hose and needs proper AN fittings.

Bare stainless braid is the traditional look and offers maximum abrasion protection - but it is abrasive itself and will saw through anything it rests against. The black nylon cover protects surrounding components and is kinder to your hands, at a slight cost in ultimate abrasion resistance.

Small-bore fuel and oil lines - carburettor feeds, injector returns, breathers - in 3mm to 12mm. It is built to DIN 73379 Type B with a rubber inner and external cotton braid, which gives flexibility and a period-correct appearance that suits classic and restoration work.

Not on the braid alone. A worm drive clip bites into the stainless strands and can cut them. Stainless overbraid and PTFE hose are designed to terminate in a proper AN or crimped fitting that grips evenly all the way round. Cotton braided hose does take conventional clips.

Wrap the cut area tightly in tape, cut through the tape with a sharp cut-off wheel or proper hose shears, then remove the tape. That stops the braid fraying and unravelling, which makes fitting the hose end far easier - and considerably safer on your hands.
